Snow White 2025
I won’t jump on the Gal Gadot hate bandwagon everyone seems to be on. On the contrary, I felt she was deliciously wicked. Her costuming was amazing. It’s a great retelling of a classic that falls in line with Disney’s “I don’t need a man to save me” narrative.
Let me preface with I LOVE Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman, but the Pasek/Paul music just didn’t fit the darkness of this movie, but it seems to have been composed to translate to the Broadway stage in the future. Still, the movie is worth a watch.

I loved this movie and it's relatable characters. My dad received a phone call once, from someone pretending to be my nephew, telling him that he was in jail. This happens, and it was brilliant how the director and cast were able to shed light on anxiety, social disorders, aging with dignity, asking for help - and all without turning those important issues into a farce. Be sure to stay to the end of the credits to meet the real life Thelma on which the movie is based!
