Okay first of all literally how is this a kids movie made by Disney when it’s so sad and soul crushing, I felt like I went through Jesse loss with him man that was an extraordinarily rough ride. I think if I watched this as a kid I would have needed actual therapy afterwards

The reviews for this movie are shockingly low. I went in expecting it to be another shitty horror that is pg13 from blumhouse but I was shocked by the depth and portrayal of grief and suicide in this. The ending is a very strong open ended ending that makes you think. I think depending on the type of person you are this movie has 2 very different endings. Overall very very great movie that surprised, creeped, then left me speechless and thinking.
Great movie, amazing suspense buildup and awesome camera shots/film work. Once or twice line delivery was a bit wonky but overall good. I’ve always loved the ocean or diving and I’ve met deep sea divers and considered doing it myself, so this one connected. Pretty wild movie of an even wilder story 🤿
I love this book so so much and the movie is pretty okay at adapting it.
