The middle portion of this movie is sooo fun and interesting! I’ve known how good Robert Pattinson is for a while but I was still shocked at how good he was in the dual roles. Mark Ruffalos teeth are hilarious, too. I’m so glad he’s not taking the Chris Evans post-MCU route of never being in a good movie ever again.

Made Iris watch this. Still basically a perfect movie. Another rewatch or two and this might make its way into my top 4.
Most of what makes Anora great is right on the surface, but what lies beneath is what makes it so special. Sean Baker - and even more notably, Mikey Madison, don’t show their hand until the last moment before the credits, basically recontextualizing the entire last two acts. A fast-paced, screwball-esque adventure lifts it’s veil revealing a brutally human story about vulnerability, even if the plot is anything but universal or even realistic.
