A Separation is a fantastic watch. Although it ran 2 hours, I was fully invested in the movie. I appreciated how down-to-earth this movie felt. It didn't feel like something conjured up by the producers but felt raw, almost as if it was a true story. A large part of this was the brilliant acting played by all the characters, as they embodied the role that they were playing. Another part of the movie that made it feel raw was…

    Persepolis

    ★★★½

"Persepolis," made by Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi, is an animated film depicting the life of Marjane Satrapi during the Iraq-Iran war. "Persepolis" follows Marjane as she leaves Iran and tries to lead a new life in Austria and France. I loved the action and thriller of this movie. It kept me on the edge of my seat as I watched intently, almost trapped in the art of Wu Jing. However, I do have to address the propaganda of the movie. I was told that this movie was pro-China but never did I expect such a large level of it. The large amounts of propaganda ruined the movie as it felt like a blunt object pushing into a balloon. It…

    ★★★½

I loved watching 24 City because of the raw visual it gave into the lives of those impacted by Factory 420. The film expressed the importance of Factory 420 in so many lives and showed how much each one relied on it. I would love a second part of the movie showing how their lives changed after the remodeling and what other challenges they had to overcome. The interviews from each person made me realize how lucky I was to be in the position I am and extended my gratitude.
