i don't think I was as devastated by this as others seemingly were but I think the plot is pretty structurally sound. however I do think the criticisms of the lack of interest in anora as a person are valid. she's not one dimensional but there's almost too much time allotted to try and advance the plot (i.e all the scenes with Ivan's annoying friends when they're trying to find him) that I feel could've been used more effectively by focusing more on ani.
