My Old Ass 2024
one of the best movies i’ve watching this year. the scenery of Muskoka Lakes (ontario, canada) was breathtaking and beautiful. it’s a coming of age story that is set in the present but is actually accurate and relatable instead of cringey. maisy stella and aubrey plaza are actually so perfect. talking about being sentimental, enjoying the present moment, and exploring your identity in a way that is fresh and new. many of the conversations between the characters are super deep and caused me to reflect a lot. cried like a baby.
