  At Wallace’s big age,,, it’s embarrassing girl. Gromit gets things done and he deserves a nice break. The penguin was actually so terrifying to me he was perfect.

  This does not work as a musical at all. Forget all of the real life drama, it’s objectively not a good musical and it could’ve been a stronger film without the music. The story tries to tackle too much and doesn’t tie up every loose end. It runs on a little too long. Every single critique about Mexican stereotypes is valid and the director should be flamed for disregarding an entire culture.

  Something about it felt inconsistent, like plot holes or maybe with the tone. Great to touch on the abuse of power driving powerful men but it feels a little too on the nose to comment on “woke cancel culture, public apology, accountability” when Zoe has made her stance on it very clear. And the billionaire’s faux self aware bullshit on complacency felt very out of left field. He’s a bad guy who knows he’s a bad guy and doesn’t care…
