After much contemplation and some time spent reviewing other perspectives, I still find myself perplexed by this film. While the cinematography and narrative structure certainly made for an engaging viewing experience, the ending left me questioning what Eggers truly intended the audience to take away from it.

Can we stop mutilating naked women’s bodies for the pure purpose of shock???!!!! I’m sorry okay but it would take a really sick fuck to enjoy this abomination. If you think a movie like this with basically no plot but just straight violence and gore is enjoyable to watch then I’m sorry but I hope you end up with no friends and die alone. I genuinely cannot even begin to fathom how ANYONE can give this movie a rating above…
