  Highlights are the amazing shots and practical effects. Also worth mentioning, Depp's physical acting.

  The opening credits itself is a callback alrrady to the font face they used in the OG 1982 film. Throughout the movie they blended scenes from the og film into this new version and it is such a nice easter egg for the fans and new Elsanatics alike.

  A film about getting out of what was deemed your fate, and parents realizing they can be the villain of their own children's life. Love it.

  The Little Mermaid actually has two main stories to it. First, there is Ariel: the #1 fan girl of humans and wants to see the lands above. Second, there is Triton: our parental figure that has been through a lot per the prequel film and is stuck in his beliefs.
