Alice Rohrwacher's films are always social realism, but they are also dreamlike. Her casting is excellent, especially the way she chooses the lead actor to enhance this effect of crossing time and space, it feels timeless. I think the shape of Josh O'Connor's ears added a lot. Disturbing film. It makes me feel I’m watching some failed edited Tiktok. You don’t need such a more than 2 hours long feature to tell you what you’ve already know well from your daily life. And there isn’t bring up anything new. The performance of DiCaprio is sooooooo embarrassing. Too overacting. I even couldn’t finish this film before Timothee Chalamet shows up. Bad experience. It makes you doubt people’s taste after watching this film.
