sat through this in a bit of a dissociative fugue and tbh i think that was okay. i less watched this film and more experienced it.
regardless, i thought it was pretty good and did some really interesting things with it's narrative structure.

Meshes of the Afternoon 1943
definitely gonna need to watch this a few times to really take it in, but i really liked the symbolism and imagery. felt a sort of feminist undertone to a lot of it, or at least a rejection of female domesticity. probably would have been better if i'd watched it silent, like i would have been more able to take in the imagery, but my lecturer played a version with a soundtrack that i felt took more away than it added.
