  This is one of my favorite movies ever, with some of the best puppetry in film history. The cast as a whole are giving it their all, with everyone having the ability to do these iconic songs justice. Ellen Greene gives the performance of a lifetime as Audrey, having a truly unique voice that can never be replicated. It’s also a pretty accurate adaptation, with several scenes being word for word the same as their stage counterparts.

  West Side Story 1961

  Ok obviously it’s beautiful, with amazing dancing and a wonderful score. The acting and singing are across the board also very good. However, I can’t get past the brown face in the Latino characters, which I feel is unnecessary and unfortunately makes a story about race have less impact.
