  mary katherine gallagher was the awkward, hypersexual, roman-catholic school girl representation i needed growing up. i would follow her letterboxd and check it religiously. reading all the (positive) reviews on this movie and realizing i'm not the only one who cherished this movie as a child.

  this had me in tears when she broke down hearing that man’s conviction. all of her pain and exhaustion surfaced in her cries, palpable even through a television screen. it is heartbreaking that she even had to make this. i hope megan is able to move forward and leave this behind for good.

  i had no clue a film could be so incredibly pleasing to the eye, yet so overstimulating, dark, and disturbing. demi moore gives i think my favorite performance of the year, perhaps the strongest of her career. this just might be the craziest movie i have ever experienced in theaters. it’s certainly not a film that will hit as hard at home, so i recommend catching it on the big screen while you have the chance.
