A Real Pain 2024
During the summer between my sophomore and junior year of high school I visited many historical sites throughout Europe related to WWII, including Auschwitz, that were supposed to immerse me in the horrors of the Holocaust. During the trip I felt a disconnect, like no matter how much I tried to integrate myself into a past that was being displayed in front of me I was trapped in an ultimately self-fulfilling present. I think this movie carries a similar theme…
