at its core i found despicable me to be quite a delightful movie, at least compared to its successors. nothing else that illumination has done could quite measure up to this movie’s charm which is a little sad considering its the studio’s first film

a good sort-of sequel to megamind. i found that megamind’s arc (realizing that he doesnt have to be an exact copy of his predecessor in order to be a good hero) to be a realistic addition to the development of his character. None of that excuses exluding roxanne from the film however
