I definitely disagree with this film being dubbed a “feminist masterpiece”. I didn’t feel empowered walking out of the cinema and I thought the ending was lame and an act of feminist tokenism. The so-called “empowering” final scene (as well as many others) felt forced, especially contrasted against the film’s obvious alignment with the male gaze.
