The Substance 2024
In a world where remakes and ai written scripts are greenlit (I’m looking at you Zodiac) this movie was a breath of fresh air. No just general horror tropes but a sort of how one could be corrupted by a simple need. For me it was a masterclass of displaying what’s normally an Internal battle.

Can we get real for a second? The original Crow was decent for its time. I liked Dark City more. This remake does generally the same thing. The maybe borderline unhealthy relationship ended too early, straight into mystical powers revolving around death and reincarnation. They certainly did the Lore/ Crow transformation better. Look back at some of your emo day photos, you felt cool right? Not so much looking back. This is that same concept just not as cringe as when you first tried.
