  This monologue, not from the novel, was penned by Greta Gerwig and shows her command of the base material. Such a moving sequence; this alone makes me want to see this film again. The kittens (which every adaptation cuts for some reason?) were not even missed.

  Tombo pretends his hobby is “flying” but rather it’s near death experiences (adrenaline junkie). Every invention he makes almost kills him. He’s in love with a woman who almost dropped him from the sky and broke his neck. He probably crashed the plane he is flying in the final shot the moment we cut away. He has never heard of Jackass, yet is living it every day. He’s the best.
