I can be a sucker for a biopic, and this is a great execution of one for a person who isn't as well known as an actor or musician. You think it's gonna be a down on his luck bloke finding his way but it takes a turn & shows you how money can corrupt all (even partially two small business owners who have an ideal vision of their product & end up getting screwed)

Absolutely cooked that this man climbed that wall with no ropes.
Watched this the night after leaving Yosemite and standing in front of El Cap (with the tour bus parked right where Alex's van was), and that sense of scale & achievement will stay with me.
As a documentary it's very well done, filmed really well (especially considering the consequences if Alex fails, or if the camera impacts what he's doing).

Absolutely maddening and frustrating, just seeing how the village and everyone surrounding the situation wanted a quick resolution without fuss or justice (and for her to marry one of her three rapists?!?).
The persistence, courage and strength shown by the girl (and she is a girl, only 13) and her father and mother to not lay down and to pursue justice not only in this case but to demonstrate what can and should be possible in all cases is just so uplifting.
You also realize that this isn't justice, and nothing can undo what has been done, but these people are an inspiration.
Thought the kid was phenomenal. So emotional & so well shot. Cinematography & music were fantastic, this should win for best live short but it won't.
