It took me way too long to finish this movie. But I’m glad it watched it. Felt like I was back in 2014. Kya was an interesting character to watch her emotional journey and growth!!
I liked the concept behind this film and its ending, but girl was I confused at times.
DOLL CHECK IN!!! DOLL CHECK IN!!! I absolutely loved this movie. From start to finish I was invested. The ending was what really got me. The sisterhood shown between Sin-Dee and Alexandra was just so beautiful to me. Supporting one another no matter what. I couldn’t help but feel bad for each and every character in that film. This world is so cruel and unfair. Support is everything, especially for us girls, and the film showed that.
Finally got around to finishing this film in its entirety. The film feels like one of David Lynch’s paintings, honestly. Each stroke is intentional -- even the smallest stroke has meaning. I think the biggest theme running through this movie is the concept of duality. Of light vs dark and how we reconcile with those two sides of us. I'm still wondering if by the end of Jeffrey's life which side would he have finally succumbed to. The light or the dark?
