Taxi Driver is one of those movies that sticks with you. Robert De Niro’s performance as Travis Bickle is unreal—he completely sells the descent into isolation and madness. The way the movie shows New York in the 70s, gritty and almost hopeless, really sets the mood. It’s not just about a guy losing his mind; it’s about loneliness, frustration, and trying to make sense of a broken world. The writing is sharp, the pacing keeps you hooked, and that iconic “You talkin’ to me?”. It’s dark and heavy but brilliant. Just the music is out dated but besides that it’s brilliant.
