  It has some amazing cinematography and I enjoy the score. The story is a very interesting concept but the whole film for me just feels like ego personified. Maybe that's biased of me since I know how shitty Stanely Kubrick is and what he put Shelley Duvall through. I also think Wendy as a character is quite misogynistic. And Jack Nicholsons performance is very over the top in the last act. Overall its a good film, just not that special to me.
