  I draw a lot of personal connections and parallels to this film. My mother is very similar to Katharine Hepburn’s character from the film. Christina Drayton isn’t necessarily a racist, by all means she’s pro interracial marriage. But when it happens with her daughter, in her home, she becomes scared for her daughter and she constantly warns her and attempts to scare her out of it in the beginning.
