I’d say movies and shows take up 80% of my life and I’m definitely fine with that 😌

A film with a lot of heart. The feel of the location with the characters really brings me down to the south. Shia shines in this film, and his chemistry with Zack is so important for this film to work- and it’s amazing. You can feel the trust they built. I love a good hero’s journey story, especially one that involved finding your family. There’s not enough stories about the disabled population that actually include them, and that’s one of the reasons I love this story so much… just smiled and heartfelt moments all around. I love the indie feel as well.

Honestly, with all the bad reviews I saw about this film I was going in with low expectations. Maybe that helped- but I found myself engaged. I think the plot is an interesting idea, and visually really well done. The robots all had their own flare and were interesting. I think the dialogue and characters fell short a lot of the time. Scenes between the people were meh at best, but the human robot interactions were enjoyable, and usually pretty…

This film is visually so stunning. The ambience of the sound design coupled with the colors and tones of the visuals is somehow so inviting, yet frightening.

The plot is an excellent sequel to the first. It brings the characters in from the first one without feeling campy or forced. The plot speaks closely to the same themes as the first- religion, spirituality, God complexes, the soul, what is being human- yet adds to it. Being human is a birthright.

The pacing really lets it all sink it. I have enjoyed this film with the same awe each time I’ve watched it.

“Do you think God stays in heaven because he, too, lives in fear of what he's created here on earth?“ - Steve Buscemi
Why does this line go so hard?

The nostalgia was still there, but woah I don’t know something is off about this one. I really love the miniatures though, and the Island. She’s honestly a pretty punky bigger sister. But I don’t know maybe that’s how it works?
