Continuing my project of watching the Captain America/Bucky Barnes storyline in the wrong order...
Somehow, despite having bought into the Marvel project at the point when Avengers Assemble came out in cinemas and conscientiously caught up on everyone's backstories, I missed Captain America's first outing, until now. And in the light of all those later, more fun, ensemble pieces, it does feel a little pedestrian and ponderous, perhaps weighed down by the responsibility of depicting such a significant historical period.…
