A fun and entertaining start, but the momentum quickly falters once the girls choose what door to enter and descend into Mr. Reed’s “basement.” Reed loses his interesting character qualities the more the story loses its interest in exploring the questions of faith and religion. Some cool actions and kills in this one, but it didn’t hit home as much as the first. The stakes felt lower and I wish the members of the rescue team had some more personality overall (aside from the main guy). That being said, still super entertaining and I hope we get the third movie sometime soon.
