Tragic and gorgeous all at once.
From what I understood Arthur’s journey is allegorically linked to the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. He believes he has died alongside Beniamina and is haunted by the necessity to preserve his “god-given gift” - his ability to commune with the past despite the encroaching darkness of his deeds. His life’s work, unearthing and selling relics, ultimately becomes his undoing.
