Favorites are just my favorite movies I watched for the first time the previous month.
Noticed I was nearing a 1,000 films watched on letterboxd and knew I had to pick a special movie for that milestone.
Kind of impressive how little of this I found funny, but just as equally impressive how much I managed to enjoy it in spite of that.
While Big Fat Liar and Coco are very different movies they both reach their resolutions the exact same way; the antagonist admits that their greatest work of art was stolen to a young boy on the top of a building only for the monologue to have been recorded for a crowd of people to see, leading to his downfall.
Big Fat Liar came out 15 years before Coco and did this climax 5 times better.
