Doctor Who: Joy to the World 2024
Surprised by how much I enjoyed this. Ncuti is brilliant in this role but sometimes the writing has let him down. The story felt fresh and kept you entertained throughout.
The only dampener was how they went a bit over the top at the end, making quite a clever and wholesome ending start to border on cringe.

Perfect way to end it. It’s rare a series finale leaves you content, but they hit the nail on the head. A very funny and wholesome watch which will definitely be revisited.

There’s two lines of thought with this film.
If it was intended as a good film it is without a doubt the worst writing , cgi and plot line I’ve ever seen.
However, if it was intended ironically it is one of the best comedies I’ve seen in a long time.
I’ve chosen to believe the second route for the time being. Highly recommend.

A nice easy watch, a few good moments but overall pretty disappointing. Never really got behind the protagonist at any point , he was pretty unlikable even by the end of his arc.
There are definitely better ways a film could celebrate the music of The Beatles. The concept of the film could’ve been approached in much more compelling way.
