speechless. and this film doesn’t even depict all aspects of the cruelty that was inflicted on slaves. I think it’s very important to include the more disturbing, violent, and emotional details of slavery in media, as history textbooks are already failing to account for a lot of the more distressing elements. It’s imperative that we properly educate ourselves, and the generations after us on these topics as to never forget the inhumanity displayed by mankind.
