Bong Joon-ho delivers yet again with a brilliant sci-fi political satire that doesn’t shy away from tackling themes of capitalism and social issues. The film echoes his previous works, such as Parasite, Okja, Snowpiercer, The Host, and Memories of Murder.
Robert Pattinson is phenomenal!!! he really owned this role. The entire cast is great, and I especially loved seeing Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo on screen! ❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoyed it!!! The chemistry between the actors was great. There were some cheesy and corny moments, but they added to the charm. The action and suspense kept me engaged, and the world-building was impressive. Some parts were easy to predict, but that didn’t take away from the fun. The backstory was well-paced, and the overall narrative was strong. They did a great job presenting the before, during, and after, making for a well-rounded experience.
Thank you, Apple TV, for not spoiling too much—and for giving us a Miles Teller abs shot and some stunning eye shots from Anya Taylor-Joy. A good Valentine’s movie.
Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga absolutely delivered great performances, and the cinematography and music were on point. There was one scene that felt awkward at first, but on my second watch, I realized it needed to be that way.
