Inside Out 2 2024
it’s nothing new from the last movie: it’s a similar premise with joy’s need to control riley’s thoughts & actions (which was resolved last movie) just with her being older & featuring new quirky characters that aren’t all Actual emotions.
entertaining, more intriguing background/production design, and overall brings nothing innovating to the table. the most unfortunate thing is that joy continues to be an unbearable & unlikable protagonist.

the raven is too cool of a character for this movie and it’s a shame that he will most likely only live in this movie.
it’s a fun little action movie that you might forget about a month or so later. ke huy quan always nails it and was perfect for this role, however, his chemistry with ariana debose was nonexistent (on both sides). unfortunately it really takes away from the valentines theme.
be prepared for some rough writing and lacking character development but enjoy the action that comes with it!
