Every time I watch this movie it hurts so much. I love my mom. Maybe I miss Sacramento. I definitely miss thrift town (although not the fights w my mom there). It hurts to see the Delta and the East Sac bridge and the airport.
It never hurts to leave. But it does when you realize that maybe you want to fly away home. Ladybird, Greta Gerwig, and now I all know that Sacramento isn’t the home it used to be, and like our relationships with our mothers, we didn’t care about it until we left.
