Giggled a lot. Then was hit with a tonne of bricks at other times.

Ergh that feeling of unrequited love was done so well too.
So many things to discuss- Anora doesn’t love him. He doesn’t love her. But it’s a relationship she is willing to call love even though…
Gorgeous. I was worried this film would be a big focus on Jodie being caught in a flood with her baby, like an action film. But instead it was a tender look at where ‘home’ is. Motherhood. Survival.
It’s like if the film ‘leave the world behind’ was done right.
Also cutest babies.

A brutally honest story about Amy L’s battle with addiction.
Amy is destructive with her addiction. It is only when she sees how she got in this place when we see how her own slightly emotionally absent mother and alcoholic and bipolar father. As others try to help her, she wants to help her dad. A cycle of struggle.
The film ends with some joy, Amy’s interest and appreciation for nature, the sea and wildlife makes her hopeful. She accepts…
