The Shawshank Redemption 1994
I would always lie and say I’d seen this before when I hadn’t because men would be so annoying about it but now I’ve seen it I understand, it’s soooooo amazing. I did watch this with my uncle and he was so excited to show me that he spoiled nearly every plot point bless him hahahaha like when the warden called Tommy out to the yard my uncle John was literally like nooooo I hate this part it’s horrible 😭

Now ranked 2nd in the BJCU. I watched this in a cinema full of loud women the night before Valentine’s Day and it was kind of an amazing experience. When Leo Woodall jumped into the pool to save that dog that was literally fine the woman behind us yelled God Have Mercy!! The whole thing was actually really poignant while staying true to the source material… special mentions to Hugh Grant Sally Phillips and Emma Thompson
