I can’t believe I subjected myself to every film in this series. It’s the cinematic equivalent of watching paint dry—except the paint is infused with middle-school play level acting, contrived plot twists, and painfully awkward dialogue. The story feels so forced it’s as if the writers were desperately trying to justify the series' existence. I’m genuinely mortified by the amount of time I’ve wasted. I truly deserve better.

Incredibly well crafted, you can really feel the tension building with every scene. The pacing is slow, but I get it, it adds to the uneasiness. Stanley Kubrick is brilliant, and the casting overall was spot on.

Dwayne Johnson is an executive producer, which honestly explains a lot. The charm of the original is completely gone. The villain is barely a blip on the radar, showing up, being vague, and then disappearing like an afterthought. As for the music? Forgettable. There’s nothing here that’s going to stick with you like "How Far I'll Go" or "You're Welcome." It feels like they just needed to throw in some songs to fill the space.

Disappointing cash grab. If you loved the first one, skip this.

This isn’t the kind of movie I would naturally gravitate towards, but my unhealthy obsession with Steve Carell led me to give it a shot. And honestly, I’m so glad I did. The movie is so heartwarming and comforting, with that quiet, understated charm that you can’t help but love. It’s not flashy or fast-paced, it’s one of those films that gently pulls you in and leaves you feeling good by the end. It's definitely the kind of movie I’ll keep circling back to, especially when I’m in the mood for something that’s sweet and reflective, but still subtly funny.
