  Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 2024

  A three hour ordeal featuring a never ending barrage of uninspired cinematography, shitty acting and one-dimensional characters. Horizon: An American Saga has at least three different storylines at play and not a single one manages to be compelling in the least. It felt never ending. The repetitive and derivative score certainly didn't help.

  Many moments were just bizarre and laughably stupid.

  Longlegs 2024

  Despite being somewhat predictable, Longlegs manages to be extremely anxiety inducing and scary all the way through. The shifting aspect ratio maximized feelings of claustrophobia and panic. The phenomenal sound design and camera work kept me uneasy throughout the whole film.

  Very Minor Spoiler: 
  That all being said, Longlegs still feels like it’s missing something. While it was executed pretty well, the deus ex machina felt like a cop-out.
