This is my first Yorgos Lanthimos movie, so Iβm still getting acquainted with his stilted characters and the dreamlike worlds theyβre trapped in.
Iβm gonna be honest β this kind of horrified me! Itβs not as oppressive as Iβm Thinking of Ending Things, but it has a similar demand: you have to suspend disbelief and surrender to its strange internal logic. And thatβs terrifying, because The Lobster pulls you into a world where suffocating societal pressuresβ¦

Wish I went to a cinema showing, I'm honestly regretting not seeing at release it so bad. Where Fury Road is all frenzy and quick realizations, Furiosa is a focused stream of chapters detailing her becoming. Anya Taylor-Joy is a softer version the hardened woman Charlize Theron portrayed. This was a spectacular casting decision because no matter how badass she is on screen, you could always see the hurt child inβ¦
