The Brutalist 2024
A depressing portrait of the "American dream". This movie tells the story of power and money, empathy and the lack thereof, the absolute prison that an artistic passion can be. It's about perfectionism, betrayal, love, friendship, alienation.
The movie doesn't drag on at all, despite its runtime of about 3:30h. I was a little disappointed by the ending, but maybe that is the intention after all.
