  Beautiful world building, subpar storytelling makes for a great set-up but an unfulfilling 2.5 hours. If you like the other movies, don’t expect the same level of quality. I honestly really like Noah’s character, he is clever, honest and curious. But that Mae human sucks ass and not in a good way. She is traitorous and if she isn’t the villain of the next few movies, I will be disappointed. 

  I guess we have to wait a few years before they do anything productive with this place.

  War for the Planet of the Apes 2017

  “APE-POCALYPSE NOW”

  I now realize this movie concludes what might be one of the best trilogies of all time. It rivals LotR and SW and surpasses the Dark Knight. I initially find it strange to cheer for apes over humans but it feels almost natural in this story. Matt Reeves, you have done it again. Although I guess this was before the Batman but still, brilliance.
