  Gladiator II 2024

  What a slog. The script, the CGI, the pacing… I’m amazed at how Ridley Scott managed to completely rip the soul out of one of his best films.

  The only saving grace (and by an extremely small margin) were Paul, Pedro and Denzel, and every scene with them by themselves, or with each other (and no one else). 

  I blame everyone who shit on Prometheus, Ridley’s been on a downhill slope since then because of you guys.

  Nosferatu 2024

  My favorite thing Eggers has ever done is the “Why’d you spill yer beans” scene in The Lighthouse. I think it reached peak weirdness and he found a way to visually translate that mysticism perfectly.

  I was disappointed with The Northman because I think it needed more of that. I felt he leaned more Hollywood-y and safe instead of going hard on the weird factor.

  Here, I’m glad to see him dive back into the weirdness harder than ever before.…

  I’ve been telling ALL of you motherfuckers how great Andy Samberg films are since Hot Rod, Celeste & Jesse Forever, AND Popstar!! Glad to see the Lonely Island crew get the credit they deserve after so many under appreciated works (exhibit A: Brigsby Bear).

  I conclude with my unpopular opinion:
  Palm Springs > Groundhog Day

  I’d actually give this a higher rating but then The Film School Mob would kidnap and throw me unto Scorsese sitting nude on a golden throne to have me wash his bare feet with my tears and hair before they all sacrifice me and feed on my entrails but yea man I’m totally a huge bitch for superhero movies
