i’ve been letting this movie sit with me all day and think about what i truly wanted to say, and i’m honestly still unsure what to think about it. on one hand, i recognize its merits and intentional de-merits, but on the other hand, beyond its intent, it made for a dreary, boring, and insignificant watch.

i feel like every time i give a movie five stars, i can never write a good enough review because i seriously have no criticisms. pride and prejudice is, with no uncertainty, a flawless movie. there is not a dull moment; a wasted moment of dialogue; a poor soundtrack choice; a bad camera shot: it’s all expertly executed. it makes two hours feel like nothing. i cannot recommend this enough!!!!!!
