basically mad max if you replaced the outback with water and made the main character unbelievably unlikeable. this movie was generally grot and had some of the most boring dialogue ever written but i found it surprisingly fun to watch? maybe it’s just cool to see such outlandish big budget practical effects again. weirdly didn’t feel like it was 5 hours long which apparently it is.
