Fantastic cinematography and well-executed, subdued world building. Unfortunately, I think the characters were a little flat and the story wasn’t as gripping or thought-provoking as a story about a prospective Civil War in modern America should be. Solid movie but can’t help but feel a little disappointed.

Death on the Nile 2022
Worst movie I saw in 2022. It took over an hour for the inciting incident (ie the murder central to the story) to happen, causing me to check out well before the story even got off the ground. Writing/dialogue is terrible, the whodunnit story is uninteresting, and Kenneth Branagh’s accent continues to enrage me. Please stop making these movies
(P.S. is it just me, or was this train wreck shot in 1080 HD? It looked super fuzzy on the big screen)
