  This is honestly the best modern adaptation of Godzilla. This film is a direct take on the Fukushima disaster, how the issues within the Japanese government made it worse than it need to be. While the messaging is a bit too on the nose with Japanese bureaucracy, I think it honestly works for a human plot. If you're familiar with the Godzilla films its very rare for the film to actually make you care about the human plot, but this film makes it the most interesting aspect.
