  Great documentary about the theories behind the origins of the homo genus. I will certainly be watching more NOVA docs!

  2001: A Space Odyssey 1968

  After watching this movie for the real first time, I feel so foolish for have spent so long without sitting down and actually watching it without laughing or talking over it. It seems Kubrick was showing concepts that are in shows I love like West World, Interstellar, etc. The concept of evolution, time, and change is really fascinating and although 2001 can be slow at times, I think that is the point. Time feels slow, but it can also be very fast, as we learn.

  “I’ve done too much to turn back, and I’ve done too much to go on.” 

  This film is such an insightful look into the life and mindset of a very different culture that I, personally, am very un-informed with. I am emotionally struck by this movie in a way that I did not expect. I highly recommend this to anyone!

  Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom 2018

  This movie was bad. Not awful, just bad. The diologue isn’t always natural, the plot is difficult to work with, and both the ending “twist” and resolution are A. Forcefully inserted and B. Nonsensical. The ending is a series of bad decisions that make the future of the franchise complicated. 

  On a brighter note: Dinosaurs are cool.
