Ok nostalgia aside this movie is corny at times but at the end of the day it is meant to be a kids movie. It’s an adaptation of an old cartoon to a live action movie with serious undertones. It’s fun and serious all at the same time. An amazing father son story. Entertaining racing action even if it completely fictitious. It also holds an interesting real theme of the presence of business in racing / sports. Also speed racer just fucks.

This movie was amazing, first movie I have seen in theater since Endgame I think and it was so nice to finally be back in the theater. This movie has amazing symbolism on top of the story. The story makes you feel for Fred Hampton and Deborah Johnson, it makes you both hate but also pity O’Neal at once. Additionally, this movie also had amazon cinematography and an amazing soundtrack.
