  A very well-made debut narrative feature by RaMell Moss, Nickel Boys is one of the most haunting films I’ve ever seen.

  After seeing Presence first and now this, I do feel like shooting the film from the POV of its main character to be a bit gimmicky. However, when they started switching between the two leads, I quickly got over it. And when the film enters its final moments and the visual language starts to morph, I was speechless.

  Such an iconic piece of filmmaking. It’s the perfect time capsule of 2013 debauchery. This film probably has one of the best soundtracks ever. 

  However, I saw a lot of female nudity but no male nudity. Automatic star reduction!
