We saw this in philosophy class in high school to learn about Plato’s Allegory of the Cave.
Watching it again, it is a great movie that kinda makes you paranoid about your own life. Jim Carrey is a truly special actor that needs to be protected at all costs.

I watched this after the trend of “Sigma Males”
and American Psycho memes, so that kinda distorted my perception of the movie.However, this is actually a really good movie. It explores some interesting themes and Christian Bale has an amazing performance.
This movie isn’t the simple gore-fest I expected; it’s actually a deeper film about conformity and individuality (I think).
