  This movie is very long probably even a bit too long as some of the scenes in the past which are meant to build the relationships don’t really add value since they show scenes with the same ethos multiple times. But it spends every bit of four hours basically spitting in the face of what a gangster movie is and also at America at the same time. Didn’t think De Niro and woods had great chemistry but that was the point so

  It’s always so impressive when an actor learns a skill for a role like this and nails it. Some of the shots in this movie were awesome and the panning back and forth was just like how chazelle did it in la la land. Don’t know if the girlfriend part of the movie was entirely necessary for mytell I don’t think it added any part to the character that we didn’t get from the rest of the script
